Chimney Industry

The chimney in Chemnitz, surrounded by a plume of smoke and illuminated by the light of the full moon, is a prominent landmark of the city. Completed in 1984, it proudly stands at 302 meters tall, making it one of the tallest structures in Saxony. On January 18, 2024, it was decommissioned. The footage, captured in January 2018 and July 2022, strikingly portrays the presence of the full moon during the photoshoots. These images not only capture the majestic height of the chimney but also the mystical atmosphere created by the nocturnal light of the moon, as well as the illumination of the structure and the bustling street.
